Dr. S. Vengurlekar specializes in the interventional treatment of pain disorders.Dr. Vengurlekar has had extensive experience in performing minimally invasive procedures in Scottsdale and other suburbs of Phoenix for the last several years. His practice has been exclusively devoted to the treatment of a broad spectrum of pain disorders.
He has been successful in treating the most recalcitrant pain disorders resulting in enhancement in quality of life of the pain patient. Dr. Vengurlekar is a proud product of St. John's Medical College, Bangalore, India, internationally recognized as one of the premier medical schools in the world. He entered medical school at the age of 16 in 1972 and graduated in 1979 after competitive a year of residency in surgery, medicine, obstetrics-gynecology, orthopedics, and pediatrics. Throughout his earlier schooling, High School and Medical School, Dr. Vengurlekar topped his class, remained on the Dean's List and won honors and prizes in various specialties in both the University and other competitive exams.
He then completed a surgical residency and became a surgeon. He was an instructor in general surgery in Jawaharalal Nehru Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, a referral and major medical and teaching center in Pondicherry, India.
In the USA, Dr, Vengurlekar completed a year of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery training at Sinai Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. Following that specialty training, he trained at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital affiliated with Albert Einstein medical Center in New York. He then decided to go into the challenging field of treating and helping patients with pain and suffering. He completed training in anesthesiology, pain, critical care, and cardiac anesthesia at Loyola University Medical Center of Chicago, Illinois. During his extensive training and residencies in multiple specialties, Dr. Vengurlekar also worked as an ER Physician in Illinois and Indiana.

He speaks seven languages, and he has been educated in a Jewish school, a Catholic School, and a Catholic medical school.
