"I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and I was referred to a spine surgeon who wanted to operate on me. Then I ran into a friend who was treated by Dr. Vengurlekar, so I decided to go see him. Dr. Vengurlekar performed selective root injections on me, and my pain has been controlled by 95%. I have no weakness or pain in my leg, and best of all, I avoided a surgery which I did not need."

I underwent numerous examinations and was seen by numerous specialists including Gastroenterologists, and performed gall bladder surgery on me, which I did not need. " I began to have severe back pain two years ago following a minor sport injury. I went through eight different physicians including an orthopedic surgeon, a neurologist and a physical medicine rehab specialist. I underwent multiple types of testing, including x-rays, MRIs and electrical testing, of my back and leg muscles. I was also put through several months of physical therapy. Despite religiously pursuing and following through with all the instructions and the multiple medications, my back pain progressed to the point, that I lost my job, and day to day living became very difficult. I, then in desperation went to a neuro surgeon, who referred me to Dr. Vengurlekar, since the neuro surgeon felt that open surgery on my spine would probably result in more severe pain and disability. Dr. Vengurlekar performed his minimally invasive interventions and determined that I was an excellent candidate for a decompression Nucleoplasty in which procedure, a special probe is introduced into the disk and a tiny core of the center of the disk is vaporized. From the time that I was referred to Dr. Vengurlekar and to the completion of the procedure and after a 10 day rest, I was back at my job being fully productive. Because of Dr. Vengurlekar's skill and expertise, I was restored to my pain free existence in the society. Dr. Vengurlekar is not only an excellent physician, but he really cares and strives hard to improve the quality of his fellow human beings." |
